Robot Soccer Competition

Robot Soccer Competition46 high school teams / SMK as East Java following the robot soccer competition themed hardware Robosoccer Ubaya Competitions (URC) in 2009, which held the University of Surabaya (Ubaya), on 14-15 November. "The 46 team was comprised of two categories of participants 32 teams 14 teams Robosimulator and Robosoccer 3 on 3," said Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering Ubaya, Dr. Nemuel Danoel Pah, at Surabaya on Sunday (15/11).

Robosoccer Category 3 on 3 is the category for the first time this year, as already held Ubaya Robosimulator early 2000s.

"Robosoccer 3 on 3 is a box-shaped robot that consists of three robots, and robots dipertandingkan with the same three opponents of the party, like people playing real football with the ball golf scramble," he said.

However, the three robots that competed were programmed by a team of students. "Possibly, the program created just kicking, but there are also buttons made with the program throwing the ball," he said.

To Robosimulator but also almost the same, the game takes the form in a computer simulation, so the game is a game advantage over the computer program.

"Last year won Robosimulator SMAN I Tuban and program their robots so that they are superior to the defending champion in the semi-finals after a meeting with three student teams from SMAK Carolus, SMAK Gloria, and 4 SMAK Petra Surabaya," he said.

To Robossoccer 3 on 3, the first place was won SMAN I Gresik by setting aside a dozen other teams, including students from the city of Surabaya.

In addition to students from Tuban, 2009 was followed Robosoccer high school / vocational school from outside the city, including Pasuruan, Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Malang, Gresik, Bojonegoro, and so on.

"First prize will receive scholarship money into the base Ubaya Department of Electrical Engineering, but the first winner Robosoccer 3 on 3 is also getting a cash prize promotion Rp 2 million. Robosimulator's first championship prize money coaching USD 1 million," he said.

URC held to increase student interest high school / vocational school in electronics and computer programming.
